Past Animes Review: Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai / 俺の妹がこんなに可愛いわけがない

Ah yes, this is "Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai" (俺の妹がこんなに可愛いわけがない) . Oh my gosh what a long title, i can't remember it every time. Well in English; "My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute!"
Kirino Kosaka
This anime is quite hot in Japan last year, and most probably, i can understand why. The plot and theme of this show is pretty simple, and very easy to understand and relate to. Oh, and don't worry, there is nothing with the title of the Anime that suggests its content.
The story revolves around Kyosuke Kosaka, who is an extremely super average 17 year old high-school boy. However, in the past few years, his relationship with his sister could be said to be, strained and cold.
Scary...
And who is this sister, well, she is Kirino Kosaka, who can be said to be an over-achiever, getting top grades in school, sports as well as being a fashion model at such a young age of 14. You can say that both of them are complete opposites of each other.

However, one day, Kyosuke finds a DVD case of a magical girl anime on the ground, with a hidden EROGE disc inside (Adult Video Game) and wonders whos it is. Upon further investigation, he finds out that it actually belongs to his sister! The same night, she attacks him in his bedroom, and shares the secret that she can't share with anybody! Yes, she a full-on otaku!! She brings him to her room in the middle of the morning to show him her HUGE hidden collection of moe anime and lolicon bishoujo games that has been gathering in her closet. Mainly she likes only "Little Sister EROGEs" and has no other ulterior motives. She then begins this "Life Consultation" with Kyosuke.
OMFG
To cut the long story short, this anime has a very heartwarming theme of a brother caring and always looking out / protecting for her younger sister, even though there are severe hardships and obstacles in life that face the both of them.
Please also note, there is not much ECCHI (used caps :D) even though there is eroge. They don't show it. This is an honest anime, not like "KissXSis" or "Oniichan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Jainan Dakara ne!!".
Ah yes, forgot to mention this anime is based on otaku culture.
For those looking for humour and a "real life" anime, this is the one for you!
MY REACTION WHEN SOMEBODY SAYS THAT.
"Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai" has 12 episodes, with 3 extra episodes with different final paths. You can find the fansubs for the show at Mazui (What i did), Doki or Kira. it ran from October 3 ro December 19 last year.
