Initial Anime Review: Ikoku Meiro no Croisée

*This review has been updated. Click here for final impressions: "Ikoku Meiro no Croisée Final Impressions"

Ooo.. My Mac is is lagging. I think its because of the transferring of Detective Conan Season 6 to 8 that I'm doing (At Episode 95!!!). I'm also torrenting this weeks new anime episodes.

Speaking of new animes, a very interesting new anime is "Ikoku Meiro no Croisée"! Yes, a french-japanese anime!

Dejavu? A small girl as the main character and a tall young man as the partner? YES it is very similar to GOSICK, well, except for the fact that the Japanese is now the girl.

So what is this new anime all about? Well, from the title, it is based in Paris, France, in the late 19th Century. In the local Gallerie (Like a shopping centre), there sits a ironworks shop. Though business is bleak, it still is                                                            operational.

An old man, Oscar, arrives back at the shop, of which his nephew, Claude (Claude-Sama) is the shop owner, and shocks him. He has brought back a girl! Yune, who decided to join Oscar on his journey, is now in Paris, and is enthralled by the city and its many wonders. She realizes that Japan and France have completely different ways of living, the food, the shops, the clothes & traditions.

Awwwww....
And Yune is SO CUTE! OMG I'm getting that loli fever again. I mean, the way she acts is so adorable!

Those who watch Yumeiro Patissiere, which I don't think is a lot, might understand this anime, they are very similar. But what do I mean? Well, "Ikoku Meiro no Croisée" theme is very simple. Yune 's discovery of Paris and their cultures. Since it is in the 1800s, it's a very good representation of history.

Main Cast
It has a very nice and relaxing feeling, this anime. Very different compared to GOSICK, which the plot is always hectic and nerve-wrecking.

Well, for now I don't see any plot developing yet, so I'll leave it at that.

Ikoku Meiro no Croisée is subbed by Ayako, Interrobang and Nemui and has 12 episodes and one OVA. It is currently premiering with 3 episodes so far.
