Initial Anime Review: Steins;Gate

The famous sentence always mentioned. I'm going to talk about a new anime here, called "Steins;Gate". From the popular XBOX 360 and PC game, this new anime is sure to get viewers as well!

Life in Akihabara starts off with Rintarō Okabe, the protagonist of Steins;Gate (Of course, he invented the name Steins;Gate), who claims to be a mad scientist (trust me, he really acts like one) and goes under the alias Kyōma Hōōin. The female characters is Makise Kurisu, a neuroscience researcher and Mayuri Shiina, Rinataro's childhood friend. Also in the anime is Hashida Itaru, a super hacker in both hardware and software.

Things actually, don't go off to a good start. Honestly, i found the first episode very unappealing. (Probably explains why UTW Subs dropped the subs for the anime after the first episode only...).  The way it presented itself would probably deter anybody, due to the mad scientist/irrational thinking part.

However, don't be fooled! Normally high-plot animes are always like that, confusing. But after episode 1, it gets really good.

The plot is about time-travel. Set in the summer of 2010, the story sets on the discovery of a microwave time machine, where the protagonist travels back and forth in time to alter what has happened in the future.

Steins;Gate is being subbed by Commie, Steins;Sub and Doki.

It is currently going to show Episode 4. Steins;Gate has 24 episodes, premiering from April 6 to September 9

Not to spoil the plot for you, i'm not going to explain everything. In these sort of anime, you have to watch the exact details of what has happened. Very much like To-Aru Majutsu no Index II.

Initial Anime Review: The World God Only Knows II

Dear Otakus,

Have to say, it wasn't a surprise when  in the last episode of "The World God Only Knows I" that they announced that a second season was to be premiered. Reading the manga, since chapter 1... where you have flying demons, a full-on otaku that turns into a "Capturing God" and conquers girls with loose souls, what can go wrong?




As the same plot follows Season 1, life centers around Katsuragi Keima, an "Otamegane"(Literal meaning of Glasses wearing Otaku), who is able to 'capture' almost any girl in his virtual games. But in real life he hates the "real world", and is extremely unpopular. After colliding with a demon called Elsie de Lut Ima,  otherwise known as "Elsie", he unknowingly signed a contract to capture loose souls from hell. Unfortunately, he can't remove them physically, because they are stuck in the "crevices" in women's hearts. And the only way to remove the loose souls is through making LOVE to them. Keima then uses his "Capturing Skills" in games, and turns HIMSELF into a lady's man.

In season 1, Keima conquered 4 girls, Ayumi, Mio, Kanon and Shiori. In Season 2, it will be Kusonoki, Chihiro and Nagase.

Currently, it has premiered up to Episode 3, where Haqua is introduced for the first time.

You can get the fansubs from Chihiro (Same Name), ColourMeSubbed, Commie or Sarasu-Subs. It has 12 episodes, and premieres from April 12 to June 28

TWGOK is an anime which incorporates cuteness, humour, romance, harem (which i think is soon), and adventure. A must watch ^_^

If you haven't seen Season 1, you ought to see it! (Explains a lot) Or you can see the first 2 minutes of episode 1...

Or you can be like me; a little insane, watching the anime AND reading the 140 chapter manga.

PS: Haqua looks very different in the anime than the manga. Maybe it's the purple, or my eyes...

WWHCurrent Returns

Hi all,

Sorry I have not been posting anything since... wow December last year. Many reasons due to it. Since i was in the process of entering a Junior College, i've been so busy that i had no time to post.
Anyways, since i'm using my blog to RELIEVE myself, i guess its all good.

End Of Year Trip 2010 Part 5: Tokyo

Hi. Sigh, run out of greetings to use...

Tokyo was a lot of fun! Although i didn't take much photos at all. I think i bought the most things there! 2 Anime figurines,8 Japanese Pop Albums, and posters! Took a strain on my wallet, but it was worth it!

Some of the photos i took was the food there. Got to love Japanese food! However, i also went to Kyoto, and visited a Japanese sort of traditional theater. I also went to the temple there. The Japanese religion is quite interesting. And in the end i also went window shopping along the many shops there. It was a whole day trip!

Anyway, next up will be the pictures of Scotland and England. Oooh can't wait!

End Of Year Trip 2010 Part 4: Niseko

Good Day!
Just to inform you that i was already back home on the 19th. I couldn't upload photos because i had urgent things to attend to. XD. Anyway, i will be posting updates since Taipei now.

When I got to Hokkaido, it recently snowed! So there was heaps of snow! Does that mean i could ski or go drive the snowmobile? No. Because the very next day at the ski resort, ALL the snow MELTED. Sigh... Depressing as it is, besides snow and ice based activities, there was nothing to do in the countryside. So it was quite boring. I wouldn't blame anyone if they found this section boring. Its all scenery.

Oh yeah. It rained on the 2nd day too, and also the fact it was 0 Degrees Celsius.

End Of Year Trip 2010 Part 3: Taipei

Hi Everyone!
It's been 22 days since the trip began, and only 4 days left. Still quite far to go.
However, i won't divulge into that. It's time for the Taipei Update!
I apologize because I didnt upload it that night like i said i would, because my internet usage ran out. For the next  few days i was out.

Anyway, Taipei is like any other city, and the pictures today are mostly 90% about the Taipei Flora Exposition, which is a must go! Enjoy viewing!

PS: I am in Edinburgh, Scotland, and the locals say it's the coldest winter they had in 60 YEARS. I hope there's snow.

Oh yah, if you haven't noticed, my smile is literally gone. There is a very good reason for that. The braces i have been wearing cover every aspect of my teeth, and i can't stretch my cheek muscles very well. So I'm SORRY if I'm ruining the picture! XD

End Of Year Trip 2010 Update

Once again, i am going to Taipei.
Unfortunately, i contracted food poisoning on the first night! -_- Some dumb luck... Even so, i still managed to go to where i wanted to go (although the trip was shortened), the Taipei 2010 Flower Expo!
Technically that's all there is to it. I will be uploading it tonight!

PS: Bought a Misaka Mikoto figure from To Aru Kagaku no Railgun, and Mio Akiyama figure from K-On! so happy...

Its been 6 days since the start of my trip... 20 days to go!
Technically this trip is affecting the progress of my novel, but it's OK! It's progressing well. Going for this trip is giving me some new inspiration!
Beijing, the capital of China, is a city of great culture. Having gone on tours for 3 days, there are really lots and lots of customs, traditions, history and art!
