Announcement

Hi all!

Another thing i want to add,

WWHCurrent is now diverging!

Ahh, well, it is due to many reasons. Some of my readers say that they can't associate travel & otaku together.

WWHCurrent will become a full-on Anime & Manga blog, as well as the main site.

The travel section will be separated to another website. It will then become intensive, spewing out reviews every few days. I actually have 10 years worth of travel information to provide!

As of 1st July (WWHCurrent's 3rd Anniversary), the separation will commence, in accordance to the new reviews!

Stay tuned!

Ah crap, this isn't a TV channel, it's a blog!

End Of Year Trip Part 7: Liverpool

Hey all!

As mentioned, here is a travel segment: Liverpool, England!

It was the halfway point between my family's car drive from Edinburgh in Scotland, to London. However i was to take the train later from Liverpool to Scotland.

And YES, one of Liverpool's most famous symbols, the Liverpool Football Club! For all those who don't know, they are part of the "British Premier League" teams, alongside Chelsea, Fulham, Blackburn, etc...

Now I'm not a soccer fan. All I wanted to see was what it would be like to be at a BPL stadium. And I'm well aware of the rival-ship between teams, so Manchester United supporters! Take it easy on me! XD.

Basically, since i only stayed at Liverpool for half a day, i got to go to Anfield Stadium, Liverpool's home-base. It was quit cold at the time, (after the extreme cold weather during that week 0'C)

It was quite enriching as there was a museum in the stadium as well. I got to see the many managers of the team as well as all the trophy's and successes over the many years. The tour guide was full of humour and kept everyone in the tour entertained. Unfortunately most of the humour had to do with... MU.

They also have so many merchandises i could think off. But i was travelling light so i got a Liverpool FC coin token.

So i would say, definitely a good experience for those football lovers, but I'm sorry to those MU fans. Don't rage ok?

Oh yah, and now you know my final destination for the year.

On The Agenda
1.Anfield Stadium

Past Animes Review: To Aru Majutsu no Index II / とある魔術の禁書目録 II

Dear Otakus (Haven't used this in a while)

As described by the title, i bet all your minds are going to be "Aw man, another Harem?"

For all of you who didn't watch this anime, this is going to be a little interesting. I'm most probably going to do a review on Season 1, later in the year.

There are people who ask me why was this show number 1 on my list for half a year.
The answer is "I have no idea."

So To Aru Majutsu no Index / とある魔術の禁書目録 II began in Fall 2010.

Life continues with Kamijyo Touma, the protagonist of the story. Ever since born, he has been blessed with an ability, yes, an ability to be UNFORTUNATE! YES! Anything his right touches instantly will become UNFORTUNATE, like a magic seal or spell. It's called the "Imagine Breaker"

The setting is the same as season one, in Academy City (Gakuen Toshi), the city of Espers. What are Espers? Espers (In this anime) are humans who have the ability to use supernatural powers by use of psychic thinking. A city where most of its resources are committed to the development of such individuals.

Index - San
Now, after the chaotic incident with Hyoka Kazakiri, Kamijyo is living a peaceful life once again, or is he? The chaos is unfolding again, as the magic world tries once again to rule the world, with the Roman Catholics.

In this anime, everyone is together! Kamijyo is fighting with his friends (so called), Styril Magnus, Kanzaki Kaori, Misaka Mikoto, Misaka Imouto, Uiharu Kazari, Shirai Kuroko, Maika Tsuchimikado Orosola Aquinas, Sherry Cromwell,  Accelerator, and not to forget, the main chatracter! Index Librorum Prohibitorium!

English Purist Church
At every scene of the anime, Kamijyo Touma will use his right hand to BREAK THOSE ILLUSIONS! Yeah!

If you watched Season 1 & the Side Story, "To Aru Kagaku no Railgun" you'd probably realise why it is my number 1 anime, well up to last week. The plot development for To Aru Majutsu no Index II is at a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT level, and how they eventually end the climax and let you figure out the answers is very exciting. The action scenes in To Aru Majutsu no Index II will also never fail to satisfy.

Amakusa Catholic Church
However, it doesn't go without complaint. This Season of To Aru seems very different from the rest in the previous 3 years. It is more

Roman Catholic Church
1)  Bloody
Which there is a scene of Himegami exploding with blood around everywhere. Oh yeah, and one scene where Accelerator punches Awaki Musujime and blood spews out of her face, and Accelerator ripping Amata Kihara's hair out, with, again, blood spewing out of his head.

2) Ecchi
Oriana Thomson. I hate her.
Watch to find out.
I know it's Japanese and their way of making anime, but wth... I watch every single episode and EVERY SINGLE EPISODE has EXTREME ECCHI. We aren't even talking about "Hidan no Aria" or even "Infinite Stratos" that kind of ecchi, but Oriana Thomson, Orsola Aquina, Index & Agnes Sanctis fully....  you get the picture. Yea lolicons will love it.

3) Too Complicated
Omg i had to watch it 3 times to get what it means.     For those watching this anime, please DO NOT Multitask while you watch this anime. If you miss even 5 seconds of what they are talking about, you lose the plot COMPLETELY. The way the plot is structured is far more complicated than Season 1.

4) Religion & Philiosophy
There is a lot of talk about Roman Catholics wanting to rule the world and their higher ups are pure evil & tainted. Many fights & arguments are also regarding the English Puritian Church &                                                           Amakusa Catholic Church. Wow.

5) THEY KILLED SATEN-SAN. SHE VANISHED.

Accelerator on Rampage
For all of you who don't know what To Aru Majutsu no Index is, it is the most complicated Anime/Manga/Light Novel Series that I (perhaps there are others, I'm sure) have ever encountered. AND I LOVE IT. Well, except for the ECCHI part. Yeah i should use caps for ECCHI and HAREM

So To Aru Majutsu no Index II was subbed by Ayako, and UTW-Mazui no Index has 24 episodes, and ran from October 8 to April 11

Well, for the time being, this will be the last post for the next 2 weeks, as i will have exam prep, but there will be small posts to keep you entertained! Mainly on Travel!

Bye Bye for Now!

Past Animes Review: Working!!

Hi Readers!

As promised, I'm going to do a review on Working!!

Yes, it's Working!! with two exclamation marks. This show, as lighthearted as it was, definitely was a success.

Working!! was in the Spring 2010 Season anime (quite a while ago), and i found it ever so humorous. Unique to be exact, as you'd normally expect a maid-cafe out of animes, like "K-On!", "The Melancholy of Haruhi no Suzumiya", "Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka" or the most famous,  "Kaichou wa Maid Sama!"

Thats is cute.
So let's get down to the details. Working!! is based on a family-style restaurant, Wagnaria. Our main character here, Takanashi Sota, is a normal high-school boy, but has a weakness... Cute things, CUTE & SMALL THINGS THAT CAN'T LOOK AFTER THEMSELVES. Thats when he bumps into a small girl, named Taneshima Poplar, who begs him to work at Wagnaria.

I know, looking at the picture there, you'd most probably work at there too. Awwwww.

THE ONLY GUY WHO IS ACTUALLY NORMAL
So, he begins working at Wagnaria part-time, only to discover that the employees there aren't your usual employees... haha. The gangster-type manager who speaks her mind, a yuri-inspired, always happy, katana carrying food chef, an androphobic waitress, and a scheming & blackmailing cook, oh yes, and not forgetting the midget sized Poplar, who actually is ONE YEAR OLDER than Sota.

In this anime, there is no plot-line, I would say almost a replica of K-On!, without the music. But, you are going to expect endless laughter all the way thorugh, with things such as Poplar trying to get taller, Sota helping Inami (Androphobic Waitress) overcome her phobia, and the occurences which happen with the manager. Ah, not to mention the main character cross-dressing, (which is kind of gross but looks so cool!)

=

Overall, Wagna... I mean "Working!!" provides a heart-warming atmosphere to it all, and i really recommend it to those people feeling down, or all those of you bored people staring at a computer screen with nothing better to do, haha.

A Second Season of the show is going to be released later this year! HOORAY!

Working!! was subbed by Himatsubushi, FFFpeeps, Chihiro, and EkatEmina and has 13 episodes, premiering from April 4 to June 26

Another review coming up next!

I got the 1/8 Scale Angel Beats! Tenshi PVC Figure, because it's so cute! I think that's a weakness of mine...

Oh well, because the lighting in my room sucks, i'll just show you what, it's supposed to look like!

I'm so happy today, that I'm going to write 2 more reviews today!

Oh Yes, one more thing:

Did somebody say PEEPING?
OMG Steins;Gate FINALLY HAD AN ECCHI SCENE.
For graphic reasons and probably how you will view me as a person in the future, i decided not to show to previous 20 seconds of this episode. :P

Have an awesome day!

Past Animes Review: IS - Infinite Stratos / インフィニット・ストラトス

Sigh,

Maybe some of you were expecting this review.
It was the first anime review on my list.

Now, i don't particularly support Harems, especially the To-Love-Ru kind, but i guess this one is ok, within the socially optimal range....

or maybe not.

So yes, Infinite Stratos / インフィニット・ストラトス premiered at the same time as Yumekui Merry did, under the same season.

Infinite Stratos is based on the near future, where technology has reached a point where combat robot suits have been invented (Infinite Stratos), a powered exoskeleton with unbelievable energy, focused on weaponry  which is capable of the greatest damage and far surpasses any modern day weapon. The weapon is also only operable by women. Infinite Stratos is a peace maker, as the weapons are equally distributed to all countries, by preventing one nation from being dominating.

Byakushiki, Ichika's IS
However, 10 years after it has been implemented, a young teen, Orimura Ichika, accidentally managed to operate the IS, when he was supposedly to sit for an entrance exam. This amazing feat led to him being invited to study at IS Academy, a school where people from around the world come to learn how to use an IS. He also is being taught by his older sister in the academy, Orimura Chifuyu, one of the strongest IS pilots who ever lived.

However, ONE problem. One Guy. All Girls.
Yea yea, best HAREM setting ever. The anime's story is pretty much simple, every episode Ichika will run into one girl, a main heroine, and thats that.

The story focuses on action, Ichika learning how to use the IS. In many parts of the anime, it will be how each and every heroine grew up and is related to the IS project the newly found presence of fully automated robot IS systems going out of control.

Laura Bodewig (1 of the 5)
Ah... Wondering why the plot is so small? That's because the rest of the content is HAREM. There are an unbelievable amount of ECCHI in this anime.

Charles Dunoa
But, if you are looking for comedy, and cute anime characters, THIS IS the anime for you!

Personally, i think this anime is good, in terms of being funny and cool at the same time, but seriously, too much *ahem*

Infinite Stratos was fansubbed by Ayako (The one who promoted it to me), SS, and Rumbel-Ryugan and has 12 episodes, from January 6 to March 31.

Intermission

Hi.

As stated, I'm going to post another review. In the meantime... Some quick updates!

First, The World God Only Knows II has made it to NUMBER 1! Demoting the ecchi To Aru Majutsu no Index to number 2. I really don't know how the producers for all TWGOK (Anime & Manga included) do it. The manga is also at no 1...

Secondly, Steins;Sub has dropped Steins;Gate due to Real Life stuff. That makes Commie the only subber now! _|_

Thirdly! My friends say i work with too many screens. Is that true?

Hmmmmmmmmm........

I guess that's true.

Past Animes Review: Yumekui Merry / 夢喰いメリー

Yo!

Sorry i couldn't post so frequently, had a terrible amount of holiday homework... Exams coming up.

Originally, my plan was to do reviews of animes of previous seasons, so as for all those who might be interested in watching these shows.

But since the 1st review was supposed to be up 2 weeks ago, i'm going to start spamming.

Allright, the first review i'm going to do is "Yumekui Merry" (夢喰いメリー)

As you all know, it just ended about 2 months ago, unter the Winter 2010 season.

Yumekui Merry is one of those animes which is filled with aspirations & passion, and sheds new light on dreams and ambitions. Life revolves around Yumeji Fujiwara normally. From young, he had the ability to see what people had dreamt, as well as what they will be dreaming in the future; which is depicted by colours he is able to view with his eyes.

Up to recently, he's been having weird dreams of cats chasing him, whom the leader, Chaser John Doe, is trying to hunt him down in order to use him as a vessel.

To put it simply, a vessel is what a dream demons, (people from the dream world) need in order to travel to the other side (the human world).

Yeah... That's how he reads Dreams. o_o
If a dream is able to take over the human as his/her vessel, the human loses consciousness and the dream demon is able to control their bodies! However, if the person's own dream demon is killed, the person loses sight of their goals & ambitions.

The story actually begins with a girl, Merry Nightmare, crash landing on top of Yumeji. She has only faint recollections of her past, as well as what is going on, but she exists in the real world as a dream demon, and her only motive is to go back to the dream world.

Chaser John Doe
Dreams also exist as Daydreams, not only those at night.

She goes crazy over donuts...
Merry & Yumeji is also able to enter other people's dreams at the same time.

However, the world is in crisis, for an evil dream demon, Pharos Hercules wishes to take over the world, by raising an army of humans as demon vessels! Yumeji & Merry have to stop him at all costs! I think it's better for you to watch what happens.

In the manga, the plot is currently centering around what Pharos is doing & a sudden attack on the school. Chaser John Doe is also disguised as a cat in the manga.
However, in the anime, there are new characters, such as Mystletainn, an evil dream demon who kills dreams mercilessly in blood.

Yumekui Merry is certainly a good anime, as it has good art, and a very unique concept to it. It also isn't those sort of self-centered ecchi anime anyways. However, i have to say, action wasn't quite portrayed well. The ending finale also didn't quite have the punch it needed, so don't go expecting a full on climax-sort of finale.

Oh yeah, and the anime's OP, Daydream Syndrome is awesome. Even got my band to do it.

Yumekui Merry Fansubs are provided by... Well i'm not very sure, but i got mine from Ayako. I think gg also did subs for it. Yumekui Merry has 13 episodes.

If you are reading this, another review is coming up after this. Stay tuned!

End Of Year Trip Part 6: Scotland

Hi readers!

This was supposed to be posted on December 12. WOW that was a long time.

Slight delay there... Because my computer crashed, i was unable to access the photos.
Anyway... It's SCOTLAND. It was snowing! got about 10~15 inches of snow everywhere! Went to see a Pantomime: a theatrical play, that involves music, topical jokes and slapstick comedy based on a fairy tale or nursery story, produced around Christmas. (In case you don't know).

We went driving around Edinburgh, Inverness, and the Scottish Highlands. Beautiful Scenary, with the addition of snow. Got caught in the ice sometimes though.

I also went to the zoo, probably a bad idea since the enclosures were all frozen! (Just wanted to kill time.) and went to Loch Ness for a short cruise! I also went to see the Edinburgh Castle, and learnt a lot about the Scottish history there, like the royals of Scotland and the Dragoon Guards.

Near the end we went for a very long drive south from Edinburgh. I wonder where...

On The Agenda
1. A380 ^_^
2. Ediburgh Scenery
3. Edinburgh Zoo
4. Pantomine Performance
5. Lochness Cruise
6. Edinbugh Castle
